Along with our new server is the addition of our new competitive team "Hag3rd." We faced them in the Newegg Wanfest and are proud to welcome them to Cereal Killers. We look forward to scrimmaging with them to build strategies and strengthen our foundation to help us compete in future tournaments. Once we achieve an acceptable amount of chemistry we plan to start joining 8v8 Leagues and Tournaments. They also have a server which I believe they will maintain. Soon, you should see their presence on the site more clearly. Please make sure you welcome them. I'll also take this opportunity to remind everyone they should let us know a little about themselves in our Introductions thread.
Lastly, we are one step away from meeting the requirements for PBBans streaming. Once I finally get this for us, we can add all of our servers and hopefully we can maintain their popularity easier. There are also a few other features that Cloud and I have discussed, but I am waiting for PBBans to be setup first. This will bring me closer to returning to APB to reorganize it and help get it back on track. Just hang on a little longer, I'd like to thank the APB crowd for your patience.
Yeah I know I haven't been very active with APB, but I did try and set it up so that I would be able to spend time with getting BF3 and the site rolling. However, everyone that I put into officer positions has completely disappeared or they just don't do anything to help. Since essentially there is no leadership without me in APB at the moment, I have decided that I am demoting everyone out of the family ranks. I am not abandoning the idea at all, but since everyone on the original list was asked to fill the position. I figure that if I leave it open to volunteers I will potentially get people that are more willing to fill the role and not just disappear.
If you are interested in helping out talk to me here, steam, or mumble. Let's be clear though, just applying won't get you a position. I'll be honest with anyone regarding a denial, but I wont go into details here regarding any requirements.
Now, the site now has our Upcoming and Latest Matches sections setup. You will be able to view our entire match history on the matches link, while upcoming matches are displayed on the Home page. I will have some icons added in so that it will be easy to distinguish which tourney/league the match is for but for now only TWL matches will be shown.
As you can see below, I played around with embedded videos. I am doing research into monetizing Youtube videos to help pay for clan costs. I also plan on showing competitive matches and if people would like to share a video here and there I would be willing to post it up for them.
Finally, don't let these slow times get you down, we will have plenty of them. I won't give up on this clan and won't let it die, so hang in there guys. Our activity on Steam has dropped as well, that's not the clans fault. On christmas we had 15 people in mumble together, things will eventually fall into place, and if it was easy it wouldn't be half as much fun. So, keep logging into Mumble and if you don't see people on, wait around a bit. 10 seconds isn't a fair amount of time to meet up with someone. Also, don't be afraid to join channels to mingle, people are usually always in mumble. Thanks for reading, have fun out there kill a lot and don't die!
