Desert Bash 11

Hey everyone,

Cancelled.

This summer we will be sending a team to an Arizona LAN fest dubbed Desert Bash. This event is sponsored by Intel and is hosting it's 11th event. It's a 3 day event starting on July 27th and ending July 29th. It's located in Phoenix and requires that you bring your own PC. Several spare PC's can be arranged but you may have to provide parts of your own still. i.e. KB, Mouse, possibly Monitor or even a GFX Card. Try and just have your own stuff though. There are raffles for prizes, and plenty of tournaments with gear to be won. The best part? We can also raid Cloudy's fridge!

We expect BF3 tournaments, and potentially some older games as well (BF2, CS: Source), possibly some RTS tournaments as well. More details are unraveling as people are providing feedback via votes on the event site.

As you can see not everyone is from the Phoenix area, so don't be shy! If you are interested in joining us, I will be reserving us seats as a team. Everyone that is signing up must donate to the clan Paypal ASAP, preferably by Tuesday, March 27th. Paypal charges a small tax so it might require around $31.50 for the ticket. We want to reserve our seats quickly so we don't miss out. It will be great to meet up and represent as a clan together, let's get our names out there!

So,

I've noticed an increase of APB players leaving the clan. So far only the people that never log into our mumble and support the clan are leaving. Basically, nobody worth a damn has left. The clan is what you make of it people, if you never log into Mumble and play with each other then of course it will seem inactive. You all didn't come for photo shoots when they were scheduled and you all seem to thinking hanging around together in another voice comm is more beneficial. Really, it's just stupid and your own fault. In addition, APB itself is a game that offers no incentive to continue logging in. That being said, I am officially saying fuck APB as a clan asset. I'll leave the clan group open and continue to do things as we have been. See ya around.

Anyways, I've been toying around with the idea of a Dedicated server to host our Voice comms, BF3 servers, Site, and much more. If you aren't sure what a dedicated server box is, then go google a bit. We will be able to consolidate our costs into one monthly fee while having the freedom to run as many servers as our machine can handle. I've been in talks with other clan leaders to find out more, and it seems like it will only open more doors for us. The main motivation behind this is to have the freedom to provide ourselves with online services without taking on additional costs.

Starting on March 26th, we will be sending 5 of our players to join Violent Industries in Gigabytes 8v8 Tournament. Let's send a full team of our own next time, team HGRD doesn't seem interested but we are continuing to grow at a steady pace. Wish us luck!

Playoffs, Pain Street Gaming & Eve

Hey everyone,

Starting off with Season 1 CGL Playoffs, we faced off against AOD again and again we lost in Overtime. The last match we had against them for TWL ended in a draw. In fact, only our first match against them in Newegg was a loss in normal play. We are extremely even with these guys but just can't seem to turn luck in our favor. With the fall of Project Gaming, it's safe to say that we finished 3rd place for the first season.

The TWL Season 1 league has also entered it's Playoffs, we are seeded 6th place currently for the 1st Division and face off against Divine is 5 in our first match. We defeated them previously, though I don't recall if it was a scrim or actual play. It's a four game bracket to determine division champions, then the Divisions champs face off against each other for the tournament championship title.

Pain Street Gaming has started it's 16 team tournament and the bracket is out. Our first match is against Xtreme Soldiers who we play solid against.

I'm fairly confident we will be able move to the second round, where we will face AOD most likely. I don't know who mainline gaming is; but if it pans out how we expect, let's knock them out for once.

The decals given were already preset it and werent many for my level 17 character. i couldnt create my own decals like in apb with symbol creator! :'(

APB: Reloaded
The last time I talked about the APB division I demoted everyone that was inactive. Some may have noticed that I also promoted everyone that still plays APB. I don't really expect anyone to do anything I just thought it would help your experience in game. Feel free to recruit whomever you feel like. APB simply cannot be approached the same way as we would an actual competitive game (i.e. BF3). Just make sure that you get everyone to sign up on the site.

Battlefield 3
They just updated the PC version again, and again they broke PB. It's recommended that you manually update it again using PBsetup.exe.

Our server was moved from San Antonio to Dallas. The IP was changed so the banner on the home page is currently showing the server offline. I have the new info for bomb, and the link to battlelog still works. We also have our layer servers running. We've added votekick and votemap, as well as some other features that will make the server more fun. I will also be adding more admins so that the server can be kept "safe."

We have a gamesurge IRC plugin that is mainly for the comp team. We do have a cK channel that people can use if they wish, but make sure you don't act like an ass in the channels. Although you would probably be banned by moderators anyways. The current home page location for it is temporary, I just haven't figured out where to put it yet. Still waiting for the roster from bomb for PBBans, but his schooling takes priority.

I have some douchebag signing up and trying to advertise .ru sites. I assume he's a Russian trying to get you all to DL viruses; or it's just some angry nerd that hates us, posing as a Russian. Anyways, all the new questions relate to cK or it's leadership. Recruits need to login to mumble to figure out the answers from current members.

Now, our comp team had a frustrating loss against nM in double OT, which knocked us out of the tourney early. Our team just needs to work out a few more kinks. Regiment of Shadows, whom we faced off against and beat in TWL, overcame team Dynamic with a quite shocking upset. However, they were then defeated by The Black Sun, another team we are quite competent against. nM has gone on to defeat -b- team gaming, that should result in them meeting Project Gaming. The other three brackets were also quite interesting but most teams that were expected in the finals are winning. Better luck next time team!
